ELECTRICAL SAFETY CERTIFICATES

KT Electrician offer a full Inspection and Testing service for Residential and Commercial premises.

We cover everything from basic Visual Condition reports to full Electrical Installation Condition reports.

We offer a fast and efficient service including out of hours testing if required, and remedial work required for safety certification carried out on the same day. We minimise disruption while doing the testing and inspection. Our rates are competitive and we provide no obligation quotations  before commencement.

Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)

An Electrical Installation Condition Report, previously known as a Periodic Inspection Report, is a testing procedure designed to ensure all existing electrical installations and fixed wiring within a property comply with Building Regulations and are safe to use.

For Landlords and property managers, Electrical Safety Certificates are normally required for properties whenever there is a change of occupancy, or every 5 to 10 years when there is no change.

Following an EICR we provide a fully detailed report, normally sent out within 1 day, that highlights possible faults and recommendations for remedial works.

If work is needed to obtain a satisfactory report, we issue a no obligation, jargon free quote and arrange a time to carry out the work if you decide to accept the quote.

If no work is required or once remedial work is completed, we will normally issue your satisfactory certificate within 1 day.

Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)

Portable Appliance Testing is an important part of any health & safety policy. Our electricians are trained and certified to conduct the inspections and testings required by the Electricity at Work Regulations. The main purpose of these regulations is to make sure that your electrical equipment and appliances are safe to use.

Once PAT has been completed, your items will be given a pass or fail label and you will be given an itemised list of tested items and a date when they are next due for re-examination.
